New year, new growth in 2026

A new year is the perfect excuse to try something new, reconnect with old favourites and spend more time doing what you enjoy. At Thame Games Club, 2026 is all about building on our momentum, welcoming new members and keeping our game nights thriving.

If you’ve been thinking about joining, or you’re already part of the club but haven’t made it along in a while, this is your nudge to jump in.

Our main games night is buzzing

Our main tabletop games night at the Thame Snooker Club is going from strength to strength. We’re already seeing regular attendance of 40 to 50 players, filling the room with energy, laughter and a brilliant mix of games.

These evenings are ideal if you enjoy longer, deeper games, want plenty of choice, or simply love the atmosphere of a big gaming night with lots of people to meet and tables to join. Whether you come with a game in mind or arrive ready to see what’s being played, there’s always something happening.

If you haven’t experienced the main club night yet, now is a great time to give it a try.

A lighter option at the Black Horse Pub

If the main club night doesn’t quite fit your schedule, or you fancy something a little more relaxed, our fourth Wednesday pub gaming nights at the Black Horse might be just what you’re looking for.

These evenings focus on light, fast and fun games in a friendly pub setting. They’re perfect for trying different games, easing yourself into the club, or enjoying a more casual night of gaming with a drink in hand.

Seats at the Black Horse are limited to 30, and these nights regularly fill up, so it’s always best to book ahead to avoid missing out.

Two nights, one great community

What makes Thame Games Club special is the choice. You can come along to the busy, high-energy main night, enjoy the cosy pub sessions, or mix and match depending on what suits you each month.

Both nights are welcoming, social and open to adults of all experience levels. You don’t need to be an expert, you don’t need to own loads of games, and you don’t need to know anyone before you arrive. You just need a bit of curiosity and a willingness to join in.

Be part of what’s growing

As the club continues to grow, so do the opportunities. More members mean more games, more tables, more variety and more chances to find people who enjoy the same styles of play as you.

By joining and staying involved, you’re not just keeping yourself up to date with events. You’re helping to support and shape a local gaming community that’s already thriving and still growing.

If you want to know what’s coming up, make sure you’re signed up at thamegames.club/events, keep an eye on the events calendar and book early where spaces are limited.

New year, new games, new faces and familiar favourites. We’d love to see you at the table soon.
