September 2021 - Club Relaunch
Wow, what a year! I remember back in early February 2021 thinking what an awesome year 2020 would be in general, little did any of us know what was just around the corner.
We had started to increase numbers by alternating between the Cross Keys and big game nigthts at The James Figg. We wer seeing 20 + members turning up and felt like things were on the up.
And then, it hit, we all hunkered down, turned to discord and our tabletop lives changed from the top of the table to online gaming.
So, it was fantastic to see as we relaunched the club so many members coming out in support and for that we thank you. It was also great to see a lot of new faces!
It was encouraging to see so many people and so many games hitting the table. There was also a fantastic mix of ages across 20’s, 30’s, 40s and even us 50+ year olds. A great night was had by all in a friendly, relaxing and well lit environment. I even came second in Tinners Trail, which in itself is a minor miracle!
LI think we have found a home to encourage us through our journey of growth and encouraging tabletop gaming in Thame and across the counties. We had a fair few members from other game groups in the area and it is truly encouraging to see a hobby that is surging and so many people having so much fun. Particularly after one of the most trying times in our history.
Look forward to seeing you all at the next and future events.
